10/04/00 Strange, last week I had something to say about that furious demon, Professor Hamaday, and this week I find myself thinking about his advice once again. Must be something to this. This episode is the kind of thing that happens to you when you flip randomly through the dictionary while you are looking for a word. Professor Hamaday said that if you aren't finding new words in a dictionary then you are using it wrong. (Well, he said something like that. I'm sure his words would have been much more poetic. And if he had printed them they would be beautiful, too. ...Of course, if he had written them out by hand no one would have any idea what they said, so there you go.) ...Anyway, I'm sure I was saying something a moment ago. Oh, yes. Flip through dictionary, notice strange similarities between words. Chuckle to self, draw comic strip.
