09/25/02 The presentation here is kinda slanted because, of course, I'm a guy -- but this interaction works both ways. People in general seem to find it difficult to establish the sanity of the individuals to whom they are attracted. At my most cynical, I'd say that people seem to find sanity unattractive, but that's the beginning of a spiraling descent into total unhappiness. Check out the poor guy in the last panel -- can't decide whether or not he should defend this beautiful woman's honor at the expense of his own. What a moron.
