01/08/03 To be fair, at its best television is a means of distributing art and information to a wide audience. I don't think it achieves this noble result very often. Most of the time television is a kind of social crutch, a conversation piece that people can use as a tool to simulate solidarity with their peers. ...Other times I think even less of television. "Slavery is wrong." Remember folks — you heard it here first!
