01/23/02 Time carries us forward relentlessly, without fail. ...My other thought for this episode is a little darker: our lives are simply constructions we build to distract ourselves from the inevitability of death. Here is some advice to any guy who, like me, finds himself sitting at a desk for too much of the day. Maybe you're staring at a blank piece of paper, hacking on a computer or contemplating a revolver -- it doesn't matter. When a woman asks if you want to go out for pie, say yes!
