08/28/02 Not like it's hard to guess, but this episode arose from having a new dress code announced at the place where I work. I never had a problem with the idea of having to follow a dress code, but I had to object because the new dress code seemed inappropriate. An appropriate dress code would be one that clearly identifies who you are and what you do. At my job I'm a person who sits in front of a computer all night. Our new dress code specifically forbids me from wearing sneakers ...and that seems incredibly inappropriate to me. Pinkey is a little off when he says that nudists have no dress code. The nudist dress code would read something like: "Don't." (See how appropriate and concise that is?)
